The most diverse and popular white wine grape in the world. This grape is originally from France and is fairly neutral- most of it’s flavour comes from terroir and being aged in oak. The wood will produce creamy, vanilla or butter flavours. Depending on the ripeness of the grapes when picked, flavours can range from pineapple and mango (very ripe) to apple and citrus (just ripe).
Pairs best with creamier foods and richer white meats.
